Where Will Elder Talbot Serve?

Elder Andrew Penman Talbot received his mission call to the Canada Toronto Mission! He received his call while still in high school.  He graduated, went on scout camp to Sand Hollow, worked at Sportsman's Warehouse Distribution Center, went on a family vacation to Alaska where he caught the most fish of everyone, and finished getting prepared for his mission to Canada.  He spoke in the Glenmoor 5th Ward on August 28, 2016, where he was assigned to speak on service.  Elder Talbot said, "And one last quote that I really liked was when President Eyring said 'One of the ways He (the Savior) goes before your face is to prepare the heart of a person He has asked you to serve. He will prepare your heart as well. You will also find that the Lord puts helpers by your side—on your right, on your left, and all around you, just like the scripture says. You do not go alone to serve others for Him.' I like this quote because it reassures me that there are people waiting for the missionaries and the gospel we are bringing."

At Silver Lake for the photo shoot with Kim Golder, Elder Talbot got to do some fly fishing.  He caught a fish, much to the delight of Andrew as well as some tourists walking by on the boardwalk.  The Book of Mormon he is holding in the picture contains the testimony of James Andrew Penman, and Kevan's missionary badge.

In the few weeks before Elder Talbot entered the Missionary Training Center, there were many goodbyes.  Close family and friends came to wish him good luck!
